On the evening of May 17th, the KIA Tigers and Doosan Bears kicked off their doubleheader series at the Gwangju North District’s Kia Champions Field.
In the top of the 8th inning, with a runner on second base and no outs, KIA’s Park Chan-ho delivered a sharp line drive single to left field. Doosan’s second baseman Park Jun-soon struggled to handle the ball, allowing Park to advance to first safely. As third baseman Kim Ho-ryeong sprinted home to score, the crowd was on the edge of their seats.
The game was off to an electrifying start, with plenty more excitement to come in the doubleheader. The series will continue tomorrow, May 18th.
